The qualification for operating of welding equipment is regulated normative. It is required in high-class management systems in the field of welding technology according to ISO 3834 and ISO 9001. EN 1418 "welding staff - examination of operators of welding equipment to the glaze welding and the fitters for the resistance welding for full-mechanical and automatic welding of metallic materials". ISO 14732 "requirements for qualification of the staff of welding and related processes" Now it is possible to attain this qualification for Friction Stir Welding (FSW) at the University of Technology of Graz (institute of materials, welding technology and non-cutting shaping). The qualification to the operator of FSW equipments is consisting of three parts:
